Cornerstone College is looking for individuals who show the potential to thrive in their studies and future careers. We are offering scholarships worth up to $3,000 towards the total program tuition to new students.
This scholarship is available to Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or refugees who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement and a commitment to scholarly pursuits.
Eligibility Criteria
- Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents or Refugees
- Demonstrated academic excellence.
- Leadership qualities or significant involvement in extracurricular activities.
- Community service record.
How to Apply
- Complete the scholarship application form online.
- Submit academic transcripts highlighting your achievements.
- Write a personal essay (250 – 500 words) detailing your academic journey, leadership experiences, and contributions to your community.
- Submit two letters of recommendation from teachers, professors, or academic advisors who can attest to your intellectual curiosity, diligence, and potential for future success.
- Include any additional materials that showcase your research projects, publications, or participation in academic competitions.
- Financial documentation demonstrating the need might be required.
Student Responsibilities
Scholarship recipients are expected to contribute to the college community, assist prospective students, and get involved with events. Recipients may be required to:
- Participate in school activities such as Open House, Orientation, Portfolio Show, etc. as a Student Ambassador.
- Support the promotion of the institution by participating in testimonials, website content, social media, local marketing events, and other initiatives.
- Support the Sales Department and Program Directors when necessary for on-campus events, tours, alumni events, and other duties as required.
- Students are expected to provide up to 30 minutes of time for every $100 awarded Scholarship Assessment Criteria
Scholarship Terms and Conditions
- The scholarship award will be applied to tuition fees, disbursed monthly, and commence in the second month.
- Students must be registered in a full course load to be eligible. Exceptions to the course load requirement are made if a student has a documented learning accommodation requirement.
- Deferral of or withdrawal from studies may result in forfeit of the remainder of the scholarship award (or the entire award if the studies have not yet commenced).
- Students must maintain good academic standing, with a minimum 3.0 GPA each month. Failure to meet academic obligations may result in the forfeit of the scholarship award. Any tuition or fees associated with repeating a failed subject will be the student’s responsibility.
- By accepting the scholarship, the recipient must agree to take part in activities and events as outlined in but not limited to, the Student Responsibilities section of the application.
- Scholarships are competitive and are awarded at the discretion of the college.
