With extensive experience in the automotive industry gained in his native country of Chile, Cornerstone student Victor Munoz came to Canada with his family in 2020. With his vast experience, he wanted to use his skillset from Chile to find employment in the Canadian marketplace. Victor enrolled at Cornerstone College to align his technical skills with the soft skills and Canadian workplace culture taught on the Customer Relations Specialist diploma program (CRS).
Attending CRS classes at Cornerstone offered Victor the opportunity to do a paid Co-op at Carter GM in Burnaby, BC, where he is a leading salesman for the team. The CRS program equips students with the skills to develop successful careers in customer-facing roles in Canada.

The automotive industry in Canada is rapidly growing and Thomas King, president of the data and analytics division at J.D. Power said, “Despite low inventory, August 2021 will be another record-breaking month for the auto industry. Building on the strength that began in Q4 2020 and continued through Q1 2021, the industry will set records for sales volumes, transaction prices, consumer expenditure and retailer profitability.”
