IELTS Preparation Part-Time Evening

This course includes 4 weeks of IELTS preparation courses for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. 4 modules of Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing for both General and Academic tests will be covered during the whole IELTS course.

Program Description

The course will provide a detailed explanation of each section of IELTS, examples of the different types of questions candidates can expect to find in each section. An analysis of the language skills and strategies needed for each type of question and study tips and test tips that can help students achieve their best scores.

In Listening week, we will go over the 4 sections of the test as well as work on multiple choice, short-answer questions, sentence completion, labeling a diagram, plan or map, classification, matching, notes, summary, table and flow chart completion.

In Reading week, the following task types will be covered: multiple choice, identifying the writer’s views/claims, matching information, matching headlines, matching features, matching sentences, sentence completion, notes, summary, table, and flow chart completion as well as labeling a diagram and short-answer questions.

In a Speaking week, we will focus on the 3 sections of the test focusing on fluency and coherence, lexical resources, grammatical range, and accuracy as well as stress and pronunciation.

In Writing week, we will cover e-mail writing, analysis of bar graphs, line graphs, pie charts, tables, diagrams, flowcharts, maps, and different types of essay writings for IELTS task 1 and 2 sections of both General and Academic tests.

  • Small class size, average 7-10 students
  • Classes are from Monday and Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM and Friday 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM

In the beginning of each week, we can also have a mock test so that the students would know their current level and can prepare themselves better for their intended band scores. As for the materials, many different IELTS resources will be used in the form of daily handouts. No books are required.
