International students from Cornerstone College raise more than $4,000 to help fight breast cancer in Canada
The campaign is led by students from the International Business diploma program to support the CIBC Run for the Cure 2020
Cornerstone International Community College of Canada announces that it has raised more than $4,000 for CIBC Run for the Cure 2020.
This is the first time the school has supported the project and already ranks as one of Vancouver’s top fifteen donors.
“We are very proud of our student’s hard work. They put a huge effort into this project internally with classmates and engaging with the community. They are definitely not planning on stopping at this stage but even go beyond,” said William Gerard, CEO of Cornerstone.
To build awareness and promote the action, the students created Social Media profiles on Instagram @teamcornerstone_breastcancer and Facebook @teamcornerstone.breastcancer, alongside organizing events to encourage people to donate.
“CICCC joined this year to support many women who are facing this fight and teach their students the value of showing empathy in these situations, to make a difference in our world,” added Tatiana Kuprienko, International Business Management student and one of the founders of the project.
The student’s target was $3,500, but they definitely won’t stop! Go to the CIBC Run for The Cure’s website and help team Cornerstone!
